What if you could change one decision that has greatly impacted your life? What decision would it be? Where would you be right now?

A mid-length documentary that explores the issues of settlement and migration, and the high cost of both on one family’s life.

Witnessing the hardships her immigrant parents experienced when they moved to a new country to create ‘a better life’, I WAS HERE BEFORE is the journey of one woman as she returns to Pakistan, her ancestral country, in her attempt to answer ‘was it worth it?’ and to contemplate a life where her family did not choose to migrate – what if they had stayed behind?

Two Countries.      Two Lives.      One Lived.      One Imagined.
